If we take a look back at a couple of generations ago, most of our great-grandparents were naturally active, working hard physically to accomplish their daily chores. Today, we have escalators, microwaves and remote controls, some people drive around a parking lot for 10 minutes just to get a parking space closer to the door, others wait minutes for an elevator just to go to the first floor and we can fulfill most of our needs literally at the push of a button.
This radical change from a vigorous to an inactive lifestyle has taken place; and genetically speaking, in a very short time frame, the human body can’t adapt to such a major change without dire consequences. Our relative inactivity has resulted in an overweight and obese society and an entire host of other functional disorders from blood-sugar problems and over fat bodies, to fatigue and low-back pain and other diseases. Hence, the improving of our fitness and health is associated with physical activity.

In wrapping up this piece, i know we are in the era of sharp-sharp mode of living, but we must note that role of exercise cannot be overlooked.  It’s all about discipline and making a commitment to engage yourself in any one of the many forms of exercise, see you on the journey of achieving optimal human performance.

Over last weekend, while uploading contents to my social media handles, a valuable lesson was gained from trying to upload to my blog. I had successfully published the post and shared the link to my social media handles when I realized the image quality was poor. I was disturbed and went back to re-upload the images. For over an hour and a half, the same quality of images was given even after refreshing the web page repeatedly, switching networks, and sitting positions. I finally succumbed to the thought of leaving the image like that, I had logged out of blogger and as I stood up to go about other activities I felt disappointed with myself.
